They're both feel out of place, they both feel awkward with some interactions, and they both have the same extraordinary gift, they also thought they were both alone as they carried the burden of their gift on their shoulders. But then, Lilac finds herself in the middle of a crime, and of course she gets dragged into the Pie Maker's life, both of them trying to hide their gifts from the other. Soon, something else appears, Ned thought he already had it and Lilac never had appears in both of their lives; love.

I watched the full TV series of Pushing Daisies, and decided it would be an interesting book to read, so I decided to re-write it in my own words. Pie-lette is the equivalent to episode one. "Ned uses his unique powers to bring his childhood crush, Chuck, back to life and solve her murder. But he is also forced to keep his distance from her, because if he touches her, she will be dead forever."
