This book is about a twelve-year-old girl who lives in the Swiss Alps. One day Nellie finds that she has an unexpected magical power- to shrink things. Later that week, Nellie gets lost and accidentally shrinks herself. She doesn't know how to get back to normal size. She falls into Orchid Valley where a group of fairies teach her more magic to use to get her back to normal size and find her way home. I know this story may seem like Alice in Wonderland, but I will make the details different, because I thought this would be a fun story plot to write about.

This story is about Eleanor Lacy Jackson, a ten-year-old girl who loves cupcakes with all her heart. She is also very fun and friendly, and tries to make everything more fun. Soon she runs into a state-wide cupcake competition, and before she knows it she is at a cupcake festival mixing up batches of the best cupcakes. Soon it's down to the finals: Eleanor vs. some girl named Kelly she recognizes from her school. Eleanor is determined to win and get the thousand dollar prize that her family needs for necessities, but she has to admit that it's pretty close; Kelly is a great cupcake maker too. Will Eleanor be able to win and help her family big time? Or will Kelly get the prize and be the best children's cupcake maker in Maryland?
