This is the story of Brooke Darwin. She is a sorceress who attends one of the 100 academies for mythical creatures in the world. This magic school is called Donora Academy.

The world is now one giant country, Pheonix. All ruled by the wicked, power-hungry dictator; Griffith Jewel. The year is 2060. 6 months after the Annihilation Order has been given out. Only 6 months since the world decided that Pheonix was being over populated. So they delivered the Annihilation Order (AO). The order stated that all people that were currently between the ages 12 and 20 were to be executed. Just that generation. They would not be safe if the 20 year olds made it to 21, but the 11 year olds hat turned twelve after the order was given were safe. That would take care of about 1.8 billion people, approximately 13% of the population. Some of the youth panicked and gave up. Some committed suicide, determined not to die at anyone else's hands, or out of fear. Others tried to live what little time in life the had left to the fullest. Others fought back. Some ran and hid. Groups were used for classification out of all these reactions. The ones who gave up were called White Flags. They're all dead now. The ones who committed suicide were called Work Savers. They're all dead now too. The ones who lived their lives to the fullest were called The Daring. They're mostly dead. The ones who fought back were The Rebels. They have a strong population, and they're always bombing government facilities all around the world. The rest, the runners and hiders, they do what they have to to stay alive. They have no interest in fighting back. They are the most populous group with about 23 million people out of the remaining 80 million. They are called the Survivors. My name is Ashley James. I am 14 years old. I am an ex rebel, current member of the Survivor clan. I can feel change coming on the horizon.
