Gerard way and Frank Iero have always passed each other in the hallway but never spoke a word to one another. They are both alike in many ways. Both loners who feel like they don't quite belong. Frank mostly spends his days depressed and alone. The occasional hurtful remarks from his fellow classmates and father wearing him down. Frank's family issues seem to swallow him hole which is mainly why he feels like throwing in the towel... permanently. Gerard lives to protect those he cares about. Though, he has a bit of an edgy attitude most people learn to respect. There's more to Gerard than what the outside shows. His brother Mikey and best friend Ray know glimpses of how he really feels, and how complications from the past really fuck with his behavior. But, their differences don't keep them apart considering these strangers are forced into each other's lives when Gerard finds Frank attempting to commit suicide. Frank and Gerard have been through a lot. It's not until they meet when everything goes downhill. Nothing seems to be going right. At least they're just as messed up as each other. A Frerard and a bit of Rikey fanfic.

However, when new student, Frank Iero, comes to town, Gerard's world is turned upside down. Frank promises to look after Gerard but it's a harder job than he had anticipated.

"You can run away with me, anytime you want." I want to get away. Away from the abuse at home, at school hell, but we're not friends. I could never be friends with Gerard Way. He's just some guy that fate seems to drive me towards. His brother may be even more of asshole than him, making my school life living hell and I guess things at home are not too great either. And despite how much of an asshole Gerard Way is, he's the only one that seems to make anything better.
