[18 + COMPLETED] Three men, two centuries, one house. S U M M E R 2 0 2 1 Rosecrest Manor has been in Asher's family for generations, but he's done dealing with the headache of a property. He just needs to get his soon-to-be ex-wife on board with the plan to sell the place. So Asher takes her there, intent on saying goodbye to the country mansion. But they soon get lost in a rabbit hole of writings by a nineteenth-century woman, Lady Whitley. And as they spend the day reading, Asher realizes that it is harder to let go of history than he thought. S U M M E R 1 8 6 8 Simon Pearce has been looking forward to Lord and Lady Trotten's summer house party for months. His only interest in the event is that Lady Whitley Ash will be in attendance, and he is determined to make her his. Unfortunately for him, however, Lady Whitley is an avid writer who only wants to get close to Simon's mother-the renowned gossip columnist, Madame Mischief. Not only that, but Lady Whitley keeps confusing Simon with his scheming, identical brother. Sawyer Pearce has most certainly not been looking forward to this ridiculous house party. He has no interest in affairs of the heart or large gatherings of people. But forced to attend, he devotes his summer to helping Simon woo the lady of his dreams. And he's also found the right partner to help him with it: Lady Whitley's sister, the equally unromantic and daring adventuress, Lady Blair Ash. But Sawyer is soon damned to admit that he might like his partner just a little too much. In the sizzling heat of summer, will either twin brother come out unscorched by the Ash sisters?

"Come away, O human child! To the waters and the wild With a faery, hand in hand. For the world's more full of weeping Than you can understand." - William Butler Yeats Hello human. Yes, I will tell you my tale. Listen and listen well for I will not repeat it twice. During the tale you will hear whispers of love, of friendship, of family and a people bonded. You will also hear screams of terror, of pain, of heartbreak. A roar of the great injustices performed in our world, injustices I...well, you may be the judge of whether I deserved them or not; still, on they came. It is not too late to leave if your poor heart faints for such things. You're staying? Good. Pay attention. My name is Treeline. I am a faerie. No, I don't have wings. I don't sparkle. Truly, I would eat you if I were not currently bound. This is my story. [Highest Rank - #586 in Fantasy 10/22/2016] [Treeline is a WIP and generally pasted in rather raw and un-edited. ⭐ FEATURED ⭐ 02/16/2018 Longlisted, Wattys 2018 ✅ COMPLETE Jocasta's nineteen years of peaceful existence in a little village of the Kingdom of Ontur blew up in pieces without much warning: Grandmother had a secret, an old pact with a mysterious man-a pact that, apparently, Jo and her new tagalongs - a flamboyant mage, a goofball knight pledge and a young alchemist-now had to take care of, thanks to the untimely death of the King of Ontur. A quest to find an ancient place, concealing an artifact of unmeasurable power and rumored to be deadly. And posthaste, before it falls into the wrong hands. That's something all grandmothers ask of their granddaughters sometime in their lifetime, right? And all that was at stake was the stability of the kingdom: no pressure. Set in a world where magic is vital, where mages are as equally feared and shunned as they're needed. A temporarily Kingless kingdom where vultures wait for the perfect time to take a plunge. A world where secrets and lies are as abundant, dangerous and necessary as magic. But something else brews in the Kingdom of Ontur: something bigger than Jocasta and her Grandmother's secrets. ⭐ 1st place in Fantasy, The Crystal Crown Awards 2017 || Highest ranking : #46 in Fantasy 03/04/2018 #writteninaction you can read a review here: https://www.wattpad.com/471550430-island-of-lost-toys-reviews-great-reads-for-the
