This isn't the story of how the city girl fell for the cowboy, oh no, this story was how the city boy fell for the home grown country girl. Harper was a single mother with a six year old son as her pride and joy. She owned her fathers old ranch as his last wish and lived an almost normal life. She had proven that she didn't need a man in her life after what had happened with her ex husband, but no matter what she did she couldn't seem to get away from his mistakes. She had known that he had had another child with someone else, but she had been unprepared for when that child's mother passed and how her ex was now getting out of county jail. She knew it wasn't her child, but the sibling of her only love Lucas. She was going to adopt that child and make a real home for her. Only she didn't know what a fight that would be. Caleb was an attorney from the big city of Detroit. He had been assigned to a case that brought him down to the sunny land of Georgia, with the heat and stetson hat fashion. Not knowing what all it would contain he was shocked to be faced with a fierce woman. Independent. A good head on her shoulders. Harper was all he could have ever wanted. He was struck with what he would have sworn to be lightning and wanted to know what made her tick under that gorgeously tanned skin. But they were from two different worlds. And he had a lot to learn if he was going to win over the country girl. Especially with him representing her ex-husband. Boundaries are made, lines are crossed...when family is what you have, its all you've got. Once you have it, you don't want to let it go. #1 in Country! I've always been better with hearts that have stopped beating than ones that are breaking. I Dr. Daniel Cross has it all figured out-surgical schedules, patient charts, the precise angle needed for a flawless incision. What he can't decode? The way Sarah Talbot looked at him in high school biology class, or why he still thinks about her sixteen years later. Back then, I was the awkward kid who could explain cellular mitosis in excruciating detail but couldn't tell when the prettiest girl in school was flirting with me. I had one shot to tell her how I felt before leaving for medical school, and I blew it spectacularly. Now I'm the youngest Chief of Surgery at St. Helena Medical Center, respected by colleagues, feared by residents. My hands save lives daily, but I've never figured out how to hold onto love. My apartment is sterile, my routine rigid, my social skills still a work in progress. Then she arrives in my ER-beaten, broken, barely conscious. Sarah. The girl who got away because I was too blind to see she never wanted to leave. She needs a place to heal. I need to learn that some things can't be solved with scalpels and sutures. As she recovers in my guest room, the careful walls I've built around my heart begin to crack. But loving someone means understanding them, and I'm still learning to read the language of emotions. Can a man who sees the world in patterns and probabilities learn that love isn't a diagnosis to be made, but a feeling to be felt? A slow-burn romance about second chances, finding yourself, and discovering that sometimes the heart knows what the mind can't comprehend.

✅ Complete ✅ When Campbell Kramer accepted a job offer in Manhattan, she never could've imagined what the city had in store for her. Namely, two handsome men who live on either side of her new apartment. One is older, one is younger. One is introverted, one is extroverted. One is serious, one is playful. Both of them want her attention. What could go wrong? ☲☲☲☲☲ ☆Brooks☆ My neighbor was the one to close the distance between us. She did it quickly--like she was scared the moment would pass away forever if she let another millisecond go by--and I rested my hand on the side of her face to steady her. Something about my touch must have given her courage. ♡Campbell♡ The men finally greeted each other while I snipped the green, woody stems and plopped them into the tallest mug I owned. Their sentences were short and awkward, and as I rearranged the blooms for the umpteenth time, the realization that they'd told each other what happened hit me like a south-bound train. I don't know why I didn't expect that. They were best friends, after all. I was just the girl next door. They had no loyalty to me, no reason to keep our time together a secret. ☆Luca☆ Her lips met mine slowly, softly, hesitantly--like she wasn't so sure kissing her neighbor was the best idea--and I responded just as delicately. But when her hand made its way into the back of my hair, our bodies melded together like a lust-struck alloy. And the only hope of separating us was to add more heat. ☲☲☲☲☲ Featured by: 📙 @Wattpad • Poolside Problems ☀️ (July 2026) • Love Triangles 💘😈 (July 2025) • Spicy Summer Reads (July 2024) • Endless Reading Mode 🧡 (Jan 2024) • Summer in the City 🥵 (June 2023) 📕 @Romance • Love Triangle (April 2025) • New Adult (June 2024) 📘 @Ambassadors • Hot Encounters (Dec 2024) 📗 @ChickLit • Rom-Com (Oct 2025) • Ambassador's Picks (Jul 2025) Awards: 🥈 Romance runner-up (The Prime Award

Now, my brother and his wife are running off to Spain for a second honeymoon and leaving me alone in their house with their four adorable children and Timo, the wonder-manny. Timo, the wonder-manny, is every bit as terrific as my sister-in-law Camille told me he was. He's kind, he's intelligent, and he's great with kids. The problem? Timo, the wonder-manny, wants nothing to do with me, and I can't really blame him. He couldn't be more mistaken in his first impression of me, but I'm too mortified to set him straight. Timo If you'd told me five years ago that I'd be a nanny to four kids under the age of six, I would never have believed it. I was a highflyer back then. Until I fell. But now my life's getting back on track. I'm a new man, and the new and improved me doesn't get involved with party girls. Unfortunately, my employers have gone off on their second honeymoon and left me to look after their four kids and one homeless party girl who threatens to wreck my resolution to avoid the kind of women who get drunk and ask strange men for their phone numbers. Unfortunately, I'm the strange man who's caught this party girl's eye, and there's no avoiding her as long as we're living under the same roof.
