"when all colour is gone, the rain begins..." this was a contest entry! it's not my best work but i'm pretty proud of the outcome. the story follows a girl who is colourblind, interlaced with poetic snippets. this girl is never named. she also has an (unnamed) brother who helps her deal with her colourblindness. however, the focus of the story isn't on the condition itself, but the colourblindness is more of a metaphor for her trying to find colour in the grey areas of life. i had to write this story in under 1000 words, so i hope that it's not too poorly written... anyway, enjoy!

Tia never expected to die young. She expected even less to still wake up the next morning. Well... not quite "the next morning". Although she denies it to herself at first, Tia soon discovers that she's living through the same day over and over again; reliving the day she died over and over again, with the same memories in place. And she doesn't like it. Set over a course of four days, Tia changes her behavior each day as she discovers that if she wants to fix this stutter in time, she must first fix the stutter in herself.
