Lucas Bradley was one of the most well known boys in the 8th grade. He was tall, athletic, popular, easy to talk to, and pretty good looking. He had light brown hair and hazel eyes and was good at making comebacks. Many teachers didn't like him, giving him a bad-boy reputation. He seemed like the guy that wouldn't care. The kind of guy that would stab you in the back. The kind of guy that was a playboy. The kind of guy who did graffiti or something. But he wasn't. In reality, all he wanted was friends. On the second to last month of the 8th grade, two months until graduation, he has to go on an errand with another student for a teacher. He simply shrugs it off and tries to finish it the fastest he could so he could get back to his "friends". He had to go with a girl with long brown hair, pale skin, and a hoodie. A nobody, basically. Then the girl surprises him. She drags him into an unknown world, a life full of mystery and fun and keeps him on edge, not knowing what'll happen next. She brings him into the other side of life. Her personality, her attitude, her reactions, her style, everything, it was different, strange but refreshing. He had always judged a book by its cover. That was, until he finally opened up the book with the ugly cover and started reading.
