Kol žmonės ramiai gyvena savo pasaulyje, nedidelėse bendruomenėse verda kitokių būtybių gyvenimas. Žvėrtakiai, arba šiuolaikiškai, teriantropai, kadaise buvo dievai, kuriuos žmonės garbino. Tačiau ši praeities dalis išnyko iš istorijos sūkurių, o žvėrtakiai prisitaikė prie žmonijos ir tapo jos dalimi niekam nekeldami įtarimų. Viename iš teriantropų miestų, Kvinse, gyvena paskutinė savo rūšies atstovė Nova. Mergina priklausė senais laikais gyvavusiai karališkai žvėrtakių šeimai, tačiau lemtingas įvykis pasuko visą šios rūšies likimą. Visgi, rodos, sukrečiantis praeities įvykis nenugrimzdo amžiams ir kartu su į Kvinsą atvykusia naująja karališkąja šeima atkeliavo ir naujos bėdos, kurios palies Novos gyvenimą. Mergina privalės susidurti su baimėmis, kurios jai niekada neegzistavo.

Seeryath is a three year old dragon with a horrible past, however things start to look up when she is taken to a dragon academy for reasons unknown to her. Sky is a dragon rider except she's missing the dragon, Sky's been at the academy for years without a dragon and that's not a good thing. The two meet by chance and begin to bond however when Sky stands up for herself and almost dies because of it, Seeryath comes to the rescue. As dragon and rider the two make dangerous enemies and tensions start rising as people start fighting amongst each other. Sky and Seeryath think they know who's behind it all however the moment they can prove it disaster strikes and the moment of order turns to chaos. With help of new friends Sky and Seeryath rise up against their enemies.
