Silence. It rung through my ears and through my brain. I wanted to break it, but I hadn't been blessed with that choice. I need a way to break this silence. I might go insane with the silence. Help.

Hi. I'm Lyra Cantrell. I was a regular girl. Just a normal person walking down the road that is life. But, I've always been obsessed with the stars. Like, even out of habit I look up pictures of stars on the internet. Not celebrity stars. The Stars Stars, the stars in the stars in the sky above you. If you walk into my room, its like walking into a space station looking out on the universe. The only thing almost normal in my room is my dream catcher. I always seemed, unique, because all the girls in my year, are obsessed with the celebrity stars. When I was obsessed with the colour black, silver and purple, and those were the only colours in my wardrobe even, when all the girls in my year were obsessed with Pastel colours. I was an 16 year old. When something strange started happening. These new kids moved to the school, they were pale and silver. I've learned not to judge people by what they look like. So I've been watching them, and they keep following me. But theres something about them, the angry look they give me like I killed their cat or something. One day, I hung back, you know, to pester the teacher about the homework - which, by the way, should be banned - but it didn't really go as planned...
