So basically, what happens is that, under mysterious circumstances, the League disappears in a mission in space. All of them. The young boys are worried when they don't come home, but even more worried when a mysterious letter from a 'friend' comes and says that the League is being held under arrest for something, on another planet. And until their name is cleared, the boys need to protect Earth all by themselves, learning teamwork, friendship, disappointment, pain, happiness, crisis, and most importantly, how much they matter to each other.
