After a long trip with Kaname, Kaname, Yuki, and everyone else comes back to the Cross Academy. Zero is still going to the academy, as the only person in the night class, he's doing all his duties, not skipping. Everyone that attended the trip "applies" for the Night Class, even Yuki. She immediately becomes a Guardian again.

Yuki Cross, the prefect in charge of keeping the secrets of the Night Class's secrets away from the Day Class, is attracted to Zero Kiryu, the male prefect and Yuki's adopted brother who pushes away anyone who tries to come close. Yuki supplies her blood to Zero, a strictly forbidden act which has to be done to prolong the arrival of the Level E Vampire Life Stage, which was bestowed upon the Ex Human Zero. On the other hand, Ruca, a new Vampire in Cross Academy has a soft spot for Kaname, a Pureblood Vampire at the highest position to make sure that the others of their kind don't cross their limits. Kaname considers Yuki the most precious person he knows and remains oblivious to Ruca's wishes. Until one day a strange scent of vampire blood spreads throughout the school during Night Class and Kaname has to reach this strong, sweet scent before any of the immature vampires reach this injured vampire with blood as sweet as Yuki's. Who knew that this beautiful, bloody Vampire was Ruca, herself. Kaname isn't able to control himself and allows himself to clean up the mess and take the advantage of tasting her blood at the same time. Things take surprising turns and love seems to be ;dangerously progressing through forbidden paths....
