'Look at me.' He whispered huskily, fists clenched at his sides as he was searching my face. 'We-we should keep going or we won't make it,' I whispered softly raising my head but still not looking at his intense grey eyes. As I attempted to sidestep him, he caught my forearm halting my movement. 'You don't want to look me in the eyes, do you?' He asked his quickening breaths hitting my face making me aware of our close proximity. 'Fine,' He barely muttered when he noticed me shaking my head weakly. I exhaled loudly in relief thinking that he finally dropped the subject. However, I was an idiot to expect him to swallow his thoughts...I was actually surprised that he lasted this long. 'I want you. .. I want you so f*cking much. And I can't keep it anymore,' He whispered in my ear softly as his lips quirked ever so slightly 'What are you going to do now?' ~~ He was my punching bag. I was his healing herb. And we were perfectly imperfect. Meet Scarlett Woods; a girl different from no other, yet as rare as they come. She's a nerd, yes. She stutters, she's awkward and she'd rather not have more than one person talk to her at a time. Yet, she's badass, she knows when to grab an opportunity and is in no way weak like most nerds are inevitably thought to be. Enter Nathan Cullen; the new student, a nerd not unlike Scarlett and the owner of a smile that can send any girl's heart into overdrive. Nathan waltzes in Scarlett's life, changes everything for the better and mingles with her friends: Allie, Adrian, Evan, Emmett, Lauren and later on Ricky. But amongst the drama with Jonathan, a past chapter from Scarlett's life she'd rather not acknowledge, the continued attempts to keep up a normal façade, the insistent tries to develop a taste for strawberry ice-cream once more and failed efforts to reconcile with her parents, will Scarlett and Nathan be able to make it? Will they fall in love over long chats about Harry Potter and Twilight? Will Nathan's humorous outlook coupled with Scarlett's snarky jokes seal the deal? Will these two people, as alike as two peas in a pod come together only to crash and burn? Will the good girl/bad boy cliché be broken? Will they last long enough to make it? COMPLETED.
