Dan Howell is a timid boy, who always does as he is told. He was once friends with Phil Lester, the 'bad influence' who soon ditches Dan for the popular group in Year 7. After five years of not talking to each other, they're partnered in a project and Phil's wants to win Dan over just like he has with most of their year. But yet, Dan is determined to find out what Phil is hiding behind his arrogant mask.

Dan wakes up in the hospital after him and Phil get into a car wreak...but something is wrong. They won't let Dan see Phil, and everyone is acting very strange. The night of the accident is blurry and confusing, and Dan wonders what really happened that night. Is the hospital keeping something from him?

Phil is not the most important boy at school, and Dan is just trying to fit in. What happens when their lives suddenly collide, and start something that none of them ever thought would happen. Warnings: violence, abuse, swearing, (smut).
