Renee, Jeff, and Lauren are three siblings just trying to get through life. Yet problems and difficulties arise that make it somewhat difficult. Renee, the second oldest, is battling her pride, her lacking is social skills, and her temper. Jeff, the third oldest, is battling fitting in, problems with friends, and his ego. He has too much of it. Lauren, the youngest, is battling with bullies, trying to stand her ground with out being mean, her pride, and her temper as well. Life in school is rough. They've got their work cut out for them.

Dean Travis, an unlucky junior in high school is sent to "Oregon state boys correctional center for troubled young men" after accidentally setting his high school on fire and being caught with illegal drugs- or so it seems. Dean Travis is actually a quiet A student who was in the wrong place at the wrong time who now has to spend the next six months in A correctional facility in the middle of nowhere with thirty delinquent, hormonal (mostly) male teenagers- AKA Hell.
