Tyler Joseph a tóparton ült, ahogy szokott. Ez volt az egyetlen dolog amit szeretett; nézni ahogy a tó lágyan hullámzik. Ránézett az órájára: 00:34. Elővette a füzetét. Sóhajtott egyet, és hevesen elkezdett írni. "I won't fall in love with falling, I will try to avoid those eyes." Hogy kinek is írta ezt? Igazából ő sem tudta. Talán annak a fiúnak aki folyton gúnyt űzött belőle? - Megérdemled. Minden fájdalmat megérdemelsz. - mondta a hang a fejében. Valamennyire hitt is neki. Azonban mindig megkérdezte magától: Miért érdemelte ki ezt? Ártott valaha bárkinek is? Nem tudta. Senki nem cáfolta meg azt, amit a hang neki suttogott. Így hát hitt neki. Még fél óráig nézte a tavat. - Holnap iskola - gondolta. Persze mindegy volt, hogy hazamegy-e, aludni úgy sem tudott volna. Az iskola volt az utolsó hely ahova menni akart; ki akart volna visszamenni oda? Ahol mindenki lenézi? Ahol nem tudott önmaga lenni? Ki akart így élni? Főleg úgy, hogy ott volt Josh is? Aki megalázta? Miután Tyler szerelmet vallott neki, teljesen megváltozott. Először csöndes volt, de utána lettek új barátai és minden megváltozott. Pedig előtte barátok voltak. Legjobb barátok.

He was bullied and beaten. He let his mind take over. He had nobody and he has bad mental health issues. Tyler is only 15 and his mind controls his life, he has no friends and nobody is here to save him. Until Josh. Josh Dun comes along and tries to help Tyler battle his mind that he called Blurryface or Blurry for short. He meets new friends and goes through a lot of shit until eventually the battle with Blurry begins. All that matters is that Tyler defeats him and then and only then can he get on with life and enjoy it, but with an abusive parent and bad mental health issues it is gonna be hard. Can Josh save him? Can Tyler save himself and defeat Blurryface? Or will all end in tragedy........

When Tyler decides it's time to break out, he sure as hell is not ready. He's done with his parents yelling at him and eachother, his sick of his brother teasing him with everything he does, he's through with all the medicine he needs to take. He just wants peace, he wants to be able to play his ukulele in the surroundings of silence. He wants to forget, but with his guilttripping mind just a step behind him, he won't be able to get anywhere. Josh saw the sad ukulele-boy on a bench just outside of the city. He knew he couldn't let him stay on the streets in the freezing night, that'd be a dick move. Blurry wasn't far behind, though. And he was determined to make Tyler's life a living hell when he was on the run and go to freedom. Josh, of course, had no idea what was going on inside Tyler's mind, but he'd help him.
