Her parents were murdered. She lost her child. And the man she loved? He was never really hers-just guilt wearing love's face. Ravana Rosewell, once a helpless teenage girl, rose from the ashes with one purpose: revenge. For two decades, she built an empire-not to live, but to destroy the man who shattered her world. But when a struggling young man stumbles into her path, something unexpected happens. She sees in him the pain she once carried-and against every instinct, she helps him. A bond forms. Slowly, dangerously, he becomes the only reason she still breathes. As her final reckoning draws near, Ravana must face a choice: will she vanish after vengeance-or fight for something she thought she'd already lost forever? Will she become his salvation-or just a memory? Ravana Rosewell, once a helpless teenage girl, rose from the ashes with one purpose: revenge. The rise of quirks has long been considered the agent of hope and light in a world threatened to be brought to despair, and it was no different for your family. You and your sibling were both agents of light, being born in a family with a long lauded history of no quirks. You were the moon, and they were the sun, ensuring stability and familiarity. TRIGGER WARNINGS: I focus on the plot but there will be some vivid blood/gore depictions and violence. There will also be some dark themes at play. The Fae have always loved their games... and we were nothing but their pawns. The Aedan Faeries had been gifted with the elemental magic of fire by the Elder Tree but when the last Aedan King died with no clear heir, their magic had started to die. By the wisdom of the Elder Tree, the one who endures its three trials will emerge the new Aedan King Ash hardly cared. Humans were just a blip of existence to the Fae's and it showed in the way that her kind was treated. Fearing for her life (and her mind) every day, privy to the horrors that they all endured, she just hoped that whenever the next Aedan King was coronated, it was long after she was dead... ... and not a moment too soon when she's picked by the Elder Tree to undergo its three trials, an unwelcome addition to the six who'd already been chosen to compete. Maybe this was better - at least her death will be swift, a victory in and of itself.
