Anna, who is ten years old, lives at an orphanage. Her parents mysteriously disappeared when she was 3. She has been living with her grandparent for 5 years, but when they died and she has none to go to she starts living at an orphanage. Life at the orphanage would be boring if it weren't for her friends Charlotte, and Hazel. All three of them are shy, love books, and wish their life was more interesting. The story follows the main character Elizabeth Bennet as she deals with issues of manners, upbringing, morality, education, and marriage in the society of the landed gentry of early 19th-century England. Elizabeth is the second of five daughters of a country gentleman living near the fictional town of Meryton in Hertfordshire, near London.
