This is a guide to flower symbolism that I will use in my stories and illustrations. I will update this at random intervals because I usually research a handful of different flowers at a time. I have already researched a lot of flowers, but it will take me time to type and proof read.

Sixteen-year-old Sage Greene was locked in a maximum-security asylum for the criminally insane after murdering nearly 200 civilians. It isn't her, though - it's the voices. There are two sides to Sage: the normal, self-conscious teenager, and the Voice lurking inside her head, the one that forced her to strike out and kill. Now, both parts of Sage are being sent into space, destined for a new rehabilitation program upon Mars, with a group of the most dangerous teenagers in America. Before they can reach the red planet, however, they are abducted by a strange alien race and taken away from their spaceship and everything they have ever known to compete in a sadistic set of physical and mental tests nicknamed the Trials. And so far, nobody has survived the Trials. * {Highest ranking: #5 in science fiction as of 9/3/17} [Comment threads contain spoilers at random. You have been warned.] WARNING This is a very dark book that only spirals further down. Murder is discussed and there are slightly graphic scenes.

Ever since I saw you in the mall, I knew who you were. I knew you were following me, trying to keep me safe from whoever else was there for me. Mysterious yet alluring, you were absolute perfection. Any girl could fall in love with you instantly. You had a charm so strong it could make a dead person swoon. You seemed so perfect, but I could see through you. You were so transparent, so strange. I thought I could change you... but, you changed me. I had been sure you were evil. I hated you. But, you protected me. You, my guardian archangel. -Written as a letter from Holland O’Deerie to Seth McCoy- © Copyright. Aiyana Cail 2012. Not a Justin Bieber Fanfic.

All the earth is torn asunder. There used to be grass, and the sun used to be golden. Children played outside, climbing trees with smiles on their faces and grass stains on their knees. People worried about a million things that would soon be irrelevant, continuing without a clue of the disaster to come. Centuries later, what little is left of humanity survives in a society constructed beneath the surface of a glass dome, the world outside converted to little more than a desert wasteland. Survival is a routine rather than an effort, and all rules are surpassed by only one: if you want to survive, you never leave the dome. There's nothing alive out there. The radiation that soaks the earth makes sure of that. Until one day, someone finds a bloody, dust-covered handprint on the outside of the glass. Nothing will ever be the same again. I draw the people I hate at school. I hear the gossip, I hear the lies but I draw what my own eyes see. And I see the embarrassing, devastating, beautiful secrets my peers all try to hide. I have quite the collection of their paradoxes; a sketchbook full of costumes and lies... Until the most popular boy, and my most hated, happens upon my misplaced book of secrets. ***** Alys is a wallflower. She is faceless, voiceless... and she is free. Being nothing more than an ever-shifting shadow is an art she mastered long ago. It's one that allows her to sketch the oblivious people around; drawing their true lives without ever being seen. The art within her pages is extraordinary; Alys' hands having the ability to create perfect renditions of the world around. HER version of the world. Yet her fingers tighten upon each pencil; the dark remnants of her past still haunting her. So, she hides her true ability behind a quiet wallflower's eyes. No one must see, no one must know. For her past is all SHE knows. Within her school there is another student she despises the most; a wolf hidden amongst a flock of sheep. Hayden; the boy loved and adored by those around him. Hayden; the monster who secretly hated them all. She never wanted to meet him. She never wanted to have to interact with ANY of them, but that all changed when her friend is accused of a crime she did not commit in a flurry of senior pranks gone wrong. In the chaos Alys faces afterwards, she accidentally leaves her condemning book behind. Who else would find it but Mr. Popular; the devil who fakes it all? Hayden has found the most interesting obstacle, a girl who can see anyone for what they truly are- even him. And with art so beautiful, so breathtaking... so dangerous, he entices Alys with a proposition she can't refuse. She would be his puppet, to do as he bid, and he would help her get her revenge... his revenge. And in what better form than a mural at graduation? One that might not be as it seemed.
