This poem goes deep about an African American woman who battles depression, someone who had an idol that has just committed suicide, it's a poem about a woman who battles a lot of hard ache plus the "disadvantages" of being born colored. Although we all know brown skin is just as lovely as pale skin, it is just a quick poem about a young girls mind and everyday feelings, also be mindful that this is based on true events from this past year, this is a teenage girl who is on her last year of highschool trying to find a college, career, & a plan.
