S I L E N T | P R E V I E W "I think I've always disliked the whole 'shut up and smile' theory." Brielle Granger is desperate for a distraction. She wants to run away from home, school and most importantly her own thoughts that seem to be eating away at her slowly. Ryder Shay is considered to be the freak in flannels; the punk in plaid, his presence will never go unnoticed. Ryder was born to live along the edge, he just couldn't seem to create enough chaos or get into enough trouble. When Brielle accidentally meets Ryder, she knows; he's the perfect distraction. Synopsis by @NeverTrustAnAuthor ____________ You'll see the scars across her arms and you'll grimace. You'll think of the blood she must have spilled and your stomach will turn over with nausea. But what you won't notice, what no one ever notices, is her pain. Sure, it hurts when she slides the razor across the soft flesh of her frail, thin arms. And of course it hurts her to watch the skin split open and the beads of blood dribble out. But what you don't see - what you could never even ask yourself is this: what is hurting Dawn D'Angelo so badly that harming herself - that spilling her own blood onto the bathroom tiles - is considered a relief? Inside each of us are two wolves: one is good, one is evil. Which wolf wins? The one you feed the most. When two souls are found sharing the same body one is in control and free to live their life, while the other sits trapped and unnoticed, hoping one day it too can have freedom. Driven by envy and anger this soul begins to tempt Luke into suicide. All goes well for that soul until Luke's life changes for the better. Luke slowly begins to see what life is worth living for; but deep down inside still lurks that envious soul, clawing its way into Luke's consciousness. Can Luke fight it? Is he strong enough? Which wolf will win?
