Copyright © 2025 {Completed} Maysa has always lived between worlds - the daughter of an Arab father and a Nigerian mother, raised in a home that looked perfect from the outside but was already breaking behind closed doors. From an early age, she learns what it means to be too much of one thing and never enough of another. After her father's death, the space between those worlds only widens. Rejected where she expects comfort and misunderstood where she seeks belonging, Maysa grows up carrying quiet losses, complicated family ties, and questions she's never been allowed to ask out loud. As she steps into adulthood, she is forced to confront what she's been taught about love, loyalty, faith, and womanhood - and what she actually believes. In a world where tradition speaks loudly and girls are expected to endure silently, she must decide who she is beyond survival. Then she meets Faruk - steady, patient, and unexpectedly gentle with the parts of her she keeps hidden. With him, Maysa begins to question whether love has to be painful, and whether softness can exist without loss. Maysa is a coming-of-age story rooted in culture, family, and faith. It explores identity, belonging, and the slow, fragile process of choosing yourself without losing where you come from. Soft, emotional, and deeply human, this is a story about a girl learning that strength doesn't always look like resistance - sometimes it looks like becoming. He loved her so much. She loved him even more. But all of a sudden she couldn't remember all the love they both shared. Only time can tell if the Forgotten love would come back. ** He was dark chocolate in complexion his eyes where red and he smelt awful with a dirty brown toothpick which hanged lazily on the side of his lip. "Excuse me please. let go of me." I tried to escape from his hard grip but it was useless. If he takes this money from me what would I tell my step mother she would never believe that i got robbed even if I had bruises all over my body. "If it's the money you want just take it." I spoke with fear my voice trembling, Because that was much better than I getting attacked reducing my future bride price. Please no. "I want you to give me the car keys get in the car with me and maybe we could have some..... fun later." He winked disgustingly at me. I looked around for any sign of a human being but there wasn't anyone around the security men were far away so screaming is hopeless. "Please just let me go i will give you the money." "Did I tell you I wan-" "I think the lady asked you to let her go." I sharply turned to who ever came to save me. The first thing I notice was that he was tall, wearing all white With a stubble. He didn't wear a smile, but even with a frown in the dark he looked really handsome. **

Fathia never planned to become a mother at twenty-two. When her sister Khadijah loses her husband, grief swallows her whole. And when Khadijah takes her own life months later, she leaves behind an eight-month-old son-and a note that changes everything. Hammad is left in Fathia's care, along with the weight of guilt, love, and a responsibility she cannot walk away from. At twenty-three, Fathia's world revolves around survival: raising a child that is not hers, living in a home that suffocates her, and carrying grief she was never allowed to fully express. Love is the last thing on her mind. Healing feels impossible. Yusuf Nazeer has always watched from a distance. The older brother of her best friend, a respected doctor eight years her senior, he has had a quiet soft spot for Fathia long before tragedy bound their lives together. Controlled, protective, and deeply reserved, Yusuf believes in duty more than desire-and when family decides their paths, marriage becomes inevitable. One year after loss rewrites everything, Fathia and Yusuf are brought together by tradition, expectation, and a child at the center of it all. What begins as obligation slowly turns into something neither of them planned. This is a story of grief and healing, motherhood born from loss, and a love that grows not from passion-but from patience, protection, and learning how to stay.
