Astrid found scales of a Night Fury and thinks it her fault that Hiccup is dead. Four years later the teens from Berk go fishing and end up finding the Night Fury and a old friend.

He ran away because he was nothing but a burden. Five years later a mysterious rider came to Berk to defeat Dagur, but the truth is he came back to Berk to protect them.

Instead of killing the monstrous nightmare, Hiccup decides to runaway the night before, but his father catches him and toothless. They get away, but not after some harsh words and Hiccups promise to never return. What happens to Hiccup and toothless? What happens to Berk after they leave?
