Lynn Abbot has always felt alone. She has always felt that there is no one out there who is willing to be her friend. She honestly believes that everyone will leave after they find out that she is sick and won't live much longer. That's what everyone else has done. But then, Lynn meets Ian Bentley. Ian is a tall, blonde hair, blue eyed, kid that everyone loves. Lynn has noticed Ian before, sitting alone on the bus, hanging with friends, but she never dreamed of actually talking to him someday. When Ian transfers into her ballroom class, and Lynn is his first partner, they slowly become friends. Lynn feels that she can tell him anything and he won't judge, but she doesn't want to risk him leaving. Plus, Lynn has only told people outside of her family and doctors about her condition three times. Those three were her best friends, the ones that have been there since the beginnig, and the only ones that haven't given up on her. As Lynn feels her body getting weaker, she knows that she should tell Ian. But how do you tell your friend, and crush, that you're dying?
