Sesshomaru is a young business man. His father Inu no Taishou taught him everything of how to run the family business (it's a mafia). When Inu no Taishou passes away he leaves the family business and fortune to his son. However, his dying wish was for Sesshomaru to find someone to love and be happy with. Sesshomaru doesn't belive in love and happiness, he has no need for such. Rin is the youngest of three daughters, Sango and Kagome. Her father runs a small business (also a mafia but not as big as Sesshomaru's). He remarried after her mother died in childbirth but, the woman who he married beats his daughters. Rin has tried to tell her father about it but he instead hits her for accusing his wife of these deeds. So, Rin no longer believes in love. She can't see how people can love each other and be happy. One day these two worlds collide. Sesshomaru finds a girl being beaten in an alley and helps her. After having more chance encounters the two start to become convinced that love does exist. Before realizing it they fall madly in love. Together they help the other overcome challenges and obstacles. (Sesshomaru and Rin are the main couple of the story. However you will also be seeing plenty of Kagome and Inuyasha & Sango and Mirku.)

Inuyasha meets with Kikyo yet again, as usual when Kagome finds out, she is deeply hurt. What happens when Inuyasha says something terrible to her? Will it push Kagome over the edge?
