It's pretty routine; befriend the bad guy's kid, collect enough information for a conviction and beat some people up. Move on out and abandon the identity assumed. Things get complicated when Dan turns out to be a little too good at befriending Phil Lester. Sometimes good and evil isn't black and white, and Dan has to decide which lives he can allow himself to ruin. Dan is different. He's learned to accept that. Well, as best he can anyway, considering he's never really had much of a choice. It's been this way for as long as he can remember, the constant runaround process of trying to feel normal. His life is built around it, trying to trick both himself and everyone he interacts with into seeing him as your average person. The isolation as he desperately tries to keep others from finding out, the bitterness that wells up inside of him each and every time he's reminded that he'll never be like everyone else, the fear that nothing will ever change. He's fated to be this way forever; a misfit from society. Isolation can only go so far though, so when he's struggling to make ends meet and he's faced with the option of looking into a serious job or taking on a roommate, he opts for what seems like the easier option at the time. It doesn't seem so easy ten failed roommates into the process, or when he sits down at a table to meet with prospect number eleven and ends up with a coffee spilled all over his lap. Potential roommate number eleven, Phil, turns out to be an insufferable optimistic ball of sunshine that Dan wants nothing to do with. His options are running out though, as are the savings he's been using to pay his rent, so he finds himself begrudgingly agreeing to let the other man move in. Neither of them have any way of knowing just what they've gotten themselves into as they shake on the matter, but time will tell.

Dan had no idea how he had these powers and even now he still had no idea how. All he knew was he was not allowed to speak to anyone. Phil was always suspcious of the brown haired boy. He was strangely quiet and had a weird aura around him. Dan is a prince - and a different one at that. Usually you'd think that being a prince is a dream come true, but not for Dan. He just wants a normal life, normal friends, maybe a boyfriend... Finally, he gets the chance to move to a place far away from his small kingdom and live with his Auntie Eleanor. The problem? He has to pretend that he's not a prince. Lying? He's not so great at that. But for someone who wanted a boyfriend but hated the idea of love, he never expected to actually fall in love. Phil Lester. The boy with the black hair, who actually likes Dan for Dan. And so Dan can't tell him that he's a prince in a place on the other side of the world - and he wants it to stay that way. Otherwise he'll have to move back home and never return. Will everybody find out? Will his chance at a normal life be ruined? Dan finds out that not everything is always normal, and most definitely, you can never avoid being one of those who love.
