And that's what makes the Joker so scary yet fascinating at the same time. He twinges of normality from time to time when it comes to human feelings, which shows that in a way, he's capable of changing if he wanted I deep down. But of course he doesnt. Instead he decides to keep being Joker anyways, which to me makes him scarier and more fascinating that way.
