The shadow of memory brought with it the threat of violence, and the only way past it was to learn to trust her instincts again - even if it meant trusting the enemy. This is going to have some editing done at some point. It was all written in a single day, and reading back over it after some time has passed has helped me see some of it's flaws, though I don't consider it unreadable.
