Imara was a warrior, the champion and leader of her people - but a battlefield injury threatened to strip her of all that she was. As danger lurked at the gates of the city, so also danger lurked at the back of her mind. The shadow of memory brought with it the threat of violence, and the only way past it was to learn to trust her instincts again - even if it meant trusting the enemy. This is going to have some editing done at some point. It was all written in a single day, and reading back over it after some time has passed has helped me see some of it's flaws, though I don't consider it unreadable. I hope you can enjoy it for what it is for now. Thanks for reading!!
