The not-so-safe haven of Chattanooga, Tennessee has always been normal territory for Geneva. But as an unproductive, boring year for her comes to an end, everything she believes in is shattered to the point that she can't even be sure that her first name is real. Life swings her from one side to the next, and suddenly she is swung into the same place as five other innocent human beings. Their participation in what seems to be a sick game begins once December arrives, but behind the scenes, things have been changing all along. How long will it take for them to discover who they should point fingers at? Who will find out first, and will he help the others or save himself? Before salvation, though, you must acknowledge that you need to be saved. In these youths' case, it's almost too late for epiphanies. (Sequel, Blue Pencil Dolls, is on my page.)

In the midst of classes, tests, and all the stresses that comes with being young adults in college, Jeremiah Braxton and Winter Santo somehow find time to fall in love. They were both perfectly ambitious, dedicated, and headstrong young adults who valued their education, their loved ones, and just wanted the best for themselves in life. Yet somehow they end up falling into a love so deep and raw that soon, they cannot bring themselves back to reality. They get lost in each other to the point where they don't even want to be found. It's a love so dangerous and volatile that their friends and family cannot do anything but sit and watch in dismay. The connection between the two is so surreal and consuming that it can only be compared to witnessing two drug addicts - testing the waters of a new drug until they are helplessly and entirely consumed by its taint. All while they are trying to swim to oxygen in their abyss of desire, their loved ones are falling to pieces. They are trying to maintain their sanity, the last thing they can do is be the rocks their friends desperately need.
