Once upon a time, a child of a monster found a way to get up the hole that so many human had fallen down from. Many of the Royal Guard followed them, afraid of what would become of the child due to the humans. Every monster that looked for the child... Never came back. The child was assumed dead, along with every other monster that climbed up, and eventually disappeared from monster history as merely a myth... But... Legends say that those that climb mountain... never return. (DISCLAIMER: UnderTale is NOT mine. I'm not that creative.)
