Dan is sick and Phil is suffering - so what the hell are they supposed to do now?

Dan, a librarian, can't seem to stop staring at Phil - the cute bookworm reading every day at his library. When he tries to talk to him, and becomes closer with him, he learns all his dark secrets about being beaten and harassed by a gang of bullies. What happens when Dan intervenes, and tries to save Phil from a life of fear and solitude? Rated: T+ (swearing and derogatory language/graphic situations/physical and verbal abuse/mentions of suicide)

It all started with that kiss, that moment and that passion when Dan became lost and Phil was clueless but both in love. The story of a skinny love that slowly becomes into something more and at the same time something less. *Note* Depression, suicide, self-harm and things like this will be mentioned a few times in this phan fiction and it shouldn't be triggering in any way but if it is, I apologize in advanced! Phanfiction. After an extreme existential crisis, Dan gets worried about who he is as a person and if he is good enough to be Phil's friend. Phil notices Dan's depression, but doesn't intervene. Little does he know that behind his back, Dan buys a mysterious medicine from a shady man on a stall who tells him it will make him a good person, "just the person Phil would want him to be." Dan knows Phil would flip if he found out, so he hides the medicine under his bed. Some things even best friends can't know. After taking this "medication, he suffers the side affects of tiredness and extreme tempers, and after an overdose of medicine, he collapses right before Phil's eyes. Dan had been taking Xtermafol, a deadly chemical. *disclaimer* Xtermafol is a completely fictional medication-I even Googled it to make sure :3 I think Dan is awesome, so all that stuff about him not being good enough?
