Castiel Novak had a similar situation, his family hated him, but he found escape in his older brother Gabriel. As you can imagine both boys held a reserved lifestyle and that didn't change when the two crossed paths after dean moved to Kansas in there senior year of high school but saw a spark in each other that neither wanted to give up on.
