This is where I'll try to offer my best advice on giving good critiques of writing. I always try to be thorough -- not holding back from mentioning even the biggest weakness of a piece -- while also presenting the criticism in a constructive way that the writer of the piece might appreciate and even possibly be a little inspired by. It's a huge challenge to maintain such a delicate balance, particularly in a review, which is also meant to recommend (or not recommend) the book to outside readers. I don't think I always do this perfectly, either, but I do think that I've learned a lot throughout my experiences and that I have some good advice that I can offer. Originally written as a collection of suggestions, the GRA decided to adopt this as a guideline for members to follow in writing good reviews.

Hey guys. So, as many of you may already know, I am from the glorious state of Ohio. And in Ohio, there is a writing competition called Power of the Pen, exclusive to middle schoolers (Grade7-8). Basically what it is is they give you a prompt and you have to write about it. Create a story from it, I should say. Then, they would rate you on the quality of the story and your answer to the prompt. I was part of Power of the Pen and I thought this process was really fun. Thus, I decided to share the experience with you all! Pretty much what I'm going to do is every now and then, I'll update this book with prompts from Power of the Pen and give them to you. Feel free to write your own stories based on these prompts. If you so choose to join the fun just tag your story with: "AangTheAvatar" and "PowerofthePen" then I'll try my hardest to find your stories and read them. You could even send me a link to your answer to the prompts. Heck, you can even create an entire book dedicated to answering these prompts that I give you. How knows.

Warning: This book WILL make you successful on Wattpad! Are you an unknown author wanting to gain success on Wattpad? Tried everything and you're still unnoticed? Hi, I'm Mike Limjoco and I've done it all on Wattpad. I have hit a million reads on two of my books, and I've made it to the first page of the Hot List in five categories, including a dual #1 in Sci/Fi and Fantasy, two of Wattpad's toughest genres. I was also a finalist in the 2013 Watty Awards, and my book Kuro has been selected as a Featured Story on Wattpad where it was on the front page of Wattpad for a month. And I did it all in less than a year! This book has actually produced several #1 books from authors who were previously unknown. Don't believe me? Read the success stories and hear from fellow authors in this book! Read the comment sections to see actual case studies from other authors who have had success. Bottom line, this book works. Try it if nothing else has worked for you. You might just be surprised to find your book sitting on the first page of the Hot List ;)

[Closed] For all those looking for the best quality books that Wattpad has to offer: this is the review book for you. With a bachelor's degree in Writing and over six years of experience on this website, I'll bring you recommendations for the best books I've found as well as reviews that showcase both the highlights and the shortcomings of books you might be interested in. Reflective of my personal tastes, this book contains a sampling of books from all genres but with minimal romance and a specialization in fanfiction. Rated PG for one instance of profanity and brief mentions of fictional violence *** Cover made by @ImberLapis, photo courtesy of freestocks.org
