The night Seoul crowned its newest fashion queen was also the night two hearts broke without warning. Inside the penthouse suite of K-House, the city glittered beneath Jennie Kim's heels. her smile precise - everything about her immaculate except the tremor in her voice when she whispered, "Tell me it's not true." Lisa didn't answer. She stood by the window, shoulders soaked from the rain, eyes carrying a kind of silence that begged to be believed. "It wasn't what you think," she said finally, low and breaking. "Jennie, please-" "Don't." Jennie's voice cut through the room like a blade. "You think I'll stand here and pretend you didn't lie to me? That you didn't use me to get ahead?" Lisa's jaw clenched. "You really think so little of me." "I think exactly what you showed me." Jennie's words were cruel, but her fingers trembled as they gripped the wine glass. "You disappeared in the middle of my show, Lisa. You knew how much tonight meant. And you were with her." Lisa stepped forward. "She's a client, Jennie! I told you-" "Enough!" The glass shattered against the floor. Wine bled into the marble like spilled blood. Lisa froze. For a heartbeat, there was only the sound of rain and Jennie's ragged breathing. Then came the whisper, soft but fatal: "Leave. Tonight. I don't want to see you again." Lisa's throat closed. "You don't mean that." Jennie met her eyes - the same eyes she'd once kissed beneath studio lights, the same eyes she used to call home - and said it anyway. "I do." For a moment, neither moved. Then Lisa picked up her coat, silent tears caught in the reflection of the window, and walked toward the door. She stopped once, hand on the handle. "If I leave now," she said, "I won't come back." Jennie didn't answer. Pride was louder than love. The door closed. ⸻ Seven years later, she'll see those eyes again. And everything she buried will rise to the surface.

This is written for entertainment within the fan community. Thank you for understanding! Now, onto the story... They say I'm the heartbreaker. The flirt. The one who collects admirers without ever letting any of them too close. Men line up with flowers, fancy cars, and promises of forever. Some women try their luck too. Tall, handsome, beautiful - I've seen them all. And I? I laugh, I play, I surprise them with gestures they'll never forget... then I walk away before anyone can surprise me back. Because I don't fall. Not for anyone. At least, that's what I believed. Until her. Lisa Manoban. The one woman I was never supposed to want. The one person my brother, Kim Jiyong, trusted above everyone else. His best friend. His business partner. His family. She was supposed to be off-limits. She was supposed to be untouchable. But when it came to Lisa, every rule I lived by stopped mattering. Because sometimes, it only takes one person to make you break every promise you've made to yourself. Sometimes... it only takes one exception.

She doesn't know what she does to me. Jennie Ruby Jane Kim walks through life like the world belongs to her. Not because she's arrogant-no. She's too sweet for that. Too soft. It's because the world wants to belong to her. People give her things without asking. Attention. Praise. Protection. Love. She gets it all. And yet-she looks at me with those wide, innocent eyes like she doesn't know how dangerous I am. If she did... She'd run. I am not safe. Not when she smiles. Not when she laughs. Not when she walks past me with that soft scent of vanilla and crushed petals and I'm left-hard and aching-behind my desk, jaw clenched, fists tight. I'm not the kind of woman people fall for. I don't date. I don't flirt. I don't feel. Except her. Always her. I am her professor. She is my student. And I am a monster with a secret between my thighs. A curse I've never let anyone see, never let anyone touch. But for her, I would destroy my rules. For her, I would ruin us both.

"So you're breaking up with me?" Jennie asked. Lisa slowly nodded her head, seeing with her own eyes how her first love slowly breaks in front of her. "Alright," Jennie said as tears pooled on her eyes, turning away as she felt coldness rise up her skin, "Just.. Just make sure you won't regret it." 'Because I'm pretty damn sure you'll want me back. I'll make you want me back,' Jennie thought. Started: 10/27/19 Ended: 08/09/20

Jennie Kim built her life on composure. At thirty-two, she sits at the top floor of Kim Corp, the kind of woman whose silence weighs more than anyone's speech. Luxury, precision, restraint - she made an empire out of things that never slip. People say Jennie doesn't fall in love. What they don't know is she learned to keep it quiet long before she learned to keep it together. Across the river, in a small restaurant tucked between old bookstores and neon bars, Lisa Manoban works with her hands - a chef whose plates taste like memories she refuses to explain. Before the knives and the heat, she was a dancer - sharp lines, soft wrists, rhythm that lived in her bones. She doesn't perform on stage anymore, but everyone who watches her move through her kitchen knows she never stopped dancing - just changed the floor. They aren't strangers. Not friends. Not ex-lovers. Something else. Something unnamed. Jennie eats at Lisa's restaurant once a month. Never reserved under her own name. Never photographed. But every time she walks in, Lisa changes the menu without asking - just a little - as if her memory still knows what Jennie might need. People notice: the shift in Lisa's posture when Jennie enters, the way Jennie slows her chewing when Lisa sets the plate herself. No one says anything. Their history isn't written anywhere, but it lives under skin and between glances - in the tattoos Lisa never explains, in the lyrics Jennie never publishes, in the meals that feel like confessions, in the silence that tastes like truth. Everyone knows something happened once - or almost happened - or could still happen if either of them ever chose to move first. But they don't. Not yet. For now, they remain what they've always been: private - but not a secret.
