When Lauren Jauregui gets shipped off to a summer camp by her mother all alone, she is almost positive that her summer is ruined. It's the summer going into her senior year and she has no idea why she has to spend it at Camp Friendship, a camp mostly for teenagers with problems of all sorts looking to make friends. Although she likes to do drugs and get into trouble, her mother never seemed to be bothered this much by it. She has her whole summer planned out with her friends until her mother breaks the news that she is going on the last day of school and ruins everything. Camila Cabello on the other hand had nothing planned at all for the summer. As a socially awkward girl from North Carolina, she is not very pleased with the news of attending this camp either. She expects the worse when arriving at Camp Friendship, the weirdest camp in all of Florida, after driving hours to get there. But what happens when Lauren and Camila meet? Will this truly be the worst summer of their lives after all?

When Lauren Jauregui goes to Havana, she didn't think anything bad could possibly happen. It was her vacation after a stressful breakup from her abusive boyfriend of three years, Lauren just wanted to be at peace again. When exploring the coastline, she comes across a wooden box sealed tightly shut with wax, with a cross moulded into place and a cryptic message written on a wooden plaque. Thinking nothing of it, she took the box back home to Miami with her as a sort of collectible. Little did she know that that box would cause more chaos than anything she's ever experienced. ------------ She laid paralysed in her bed. Her breathing erratic as she stared at the three beings that stood tauntingly at the foot of the bed. One with perfectly groomed ginger hair, but it's grin sinister and quite frankly freaky. A second with short, messy brunette hair with his face neutral, she wasn't sure if the expression or his appearance was creepier. The last being that stood dead centre, Lauren couldn't decipher it. She knew she should be terrified but strangely enough, the one in the middle seemed less threatening. With its piercing chocolate eyes examining her, like it was searching for something deep within her soul. Then that brunette creature leaned forward, hands behind its back and those same eyes glowing a daring red. "Tell me Lauren, are you ready to have some fun?" The creature asked and all three of them smiled devilishly, almost as though it was an inside joke amongst them.

Lauren's life is pretty average until she starts getting closer to Camila, the 'weird' girl in her school. Strange things start happening and Lauren learns things that she probably shouldn't. What happens when she's suddenly in grave danger, and Camila is the only one who can protect her? [cover by @slothtato]

"I like how you're my sun Lauren" Camila sighs contently, but is soon interrupted when I cut her little bliss short. "And you're my moon. That's a thousand times better, wanna know why?" I take her silence as a prompt to continue. "You always hear about how great the sun is, but no-one ever talks about the serenity the moon has. No one ever talks about how the moon lights up the night at its darkest hours, about how it still shines during the day even when you can't see it, it's still there. The moon is one of the greatest things ever, but is always over-shined by the sun. But if anything it's the other way round. Even though they shine in their own ways, they'll always rely on one another like we do. You being my moon is very important to me, and I'll gladly let myself be your sun for as long as you'll let me be" After finishing off my statement I realised what I had already known- I was more than just in love with Camila, there was something more to it. I'm scared to let myself fall for her, but not everything that falls gets broken? Twins Punky and Penny were separated when they were only a few months old when their parents decided to divorce. Each took one child. Lauren took Punky and moved to California. Camila kept Penny with her in Miami. Now it's eleven years later and the girls are unknowingly sent to a summer camp where they will meet and plot to get their parents back together with the help of their aunts, Ally, Dinah and Normani.

Sequel to Influence

Summer has been off to an odd start for Lauren Jauregui, usually she is out and about roaming around Miami and finding new beaches or enjoying the nice weather at her beach house with her best friends, but her plans were canceled when they end up going on a family vacation to Spain. Since all of her friends are away for the summer, Lauren starts to spend a lot of time on Tumblr, meeting some of the best people she has ever met, including someone who becomes very special.
