Any covers used for this story are compliments of @GabHale Aine is a high-school senior who still experiences trauma from a chilling childhood event. Aine meets Jonah who, though charming and attractive, has a dangerous violent side and brings out the worst in Aine. Jonah and Aine fall in love while he tries to get her to face her past. This is as much of a love story as it is a thriller. It has a killer ending. I still remember the first time I saw Jonah. I remember thinking how beautiful he was, and how a guy like him would never approach a girl like me. Someone so plain, who was virtually invisible to those around me. But he had noticed me, and it had thrown me for a loop. Why would someone so breath-taking take interest in a girl like me? These days I can truly see why he would choose someone like me, because at the time, I was simply a wet clay waiting to be molded for his own personal destruction. Maybe if I had known at the time, I might have walked away. Maybe so many people wouldn't had died if I had just walked away.

He lit his cigarette, I lit nothing. He drank alcohol, I drank water. He smirked, I smiled. He didn't love me, I didn't love him. He and I together wouldn't last a day. And then the game started... He said he found me intriguing, unique, and interesting because I didn't swoon over him. "You and me Grey, let's play a game. We'll date and in three months time I promise you will fall for me. When you fall in love with me between that time span, I win. If in any way you were to win I'll give up all the alcohol, cigarettes, and player ways." It was a game I wasn't willing to lose, but all games had accidents and consequences. It takes a broken heart to know how to break a heart.
