He was so devilishly handsome; he was tall with unruly curls with secret promise never to be tamed. The way his clothes clung to his body showed off his exquisite physique, the white collard shirt was tight fitting showing his muscles bulge with every movement he made. What she wouldn't do to reach out right now and feel his skin up against hers again. Feel his soft lips pressed up against hers. She quickly pulled herself away from those thoughts, clearing her throat and lowering her face to hide the blush that was creeping up to her cheeks. 08.03.2016 #79 in Historical Fiction! 08.05.2016 #30 in Historical Fiction!

1523. King Henry VIII is in desperate need of a male heir. Mistress Katherine Champernowne, a young maiden of noble blood, has been sent from France to the English court. Her mother believes she can produce a male heir for the English King. New to English politics, Katherine finds herself entangled in a war for the King's affections. She is playing a dangerous game of courtly love, while all the time trying to hide her un-catholic background. Her task in place, she becomes friends with the competition, enemies with her family and in love with someone other than the King. When things get too heated, will she be able to survive a court where everyone is out to make a profit, no matter the cost? A Twist. Although I use a lot of Tudor truths and background work, I also use false characters, intertwined with real people. *************** A massive thank you to @Pasionforbooks who is currently editing this story! She has managed to make everything so much smoother and run so much more perfected while keeping my own voice! Highly recommend can't wait to see the rest! xx
