Superheroes. The saviors and guardian angels we all look up to, and more often than not, fall in love with. Everyone knows the super hero and damsel in distress love story, and all the super-villain and hero love stories. In all the bundles of stories where love is evident, in this story, love is hidden behind masks, death, and a want for revenge. Can one teen really survive so much, or was part of her killed off for good? Come join me, Rosetta Parker, for what may or may not end up being the rest of my life. Guys is wrote this when I was younger, stop leaving comments about all the cliches! I know they are there! A 2014 Watty Undiscovered Gem; Honorable Mention winner. All (c) me. Superheroes ect. Who's Superman? Was the question a little kid asked me. And all I could say was that there's no such thing as a Superman. He's just a fictional character with supernatural powers. He's not real, he's made up. But then who will save us when we're in trouble? I didn't have an answer for that.

"To be a villain is to be a minority, a black and white stereotype packaged into a box marked 'keep away, toxic.'" Bitter and dry-humored down to his very last bone, Wayne Keller is not the person his parents expected. With his wicked wit and morbid interest in chaos, all it takes is one thing to push him off that final ledge into accepting his true nature. Now all he's got to do is hide it, pretend like he's not beginning his own rise to infamy and planning a space for himself beside all the great villains of the time. The way to do it? Easy, follow the one simple, unspoken rule of his Illinois town: don't be yourself. And then there's Elliot Romano, an Italian boy who can't seem to be anything but his clumsy self.

Being a superhero's sidekick was the last thing Gretal Davidson expected, and it was the last thing she wanted to be. Because it takes more than powers to be a superhero. [image credit goes to artist, not me]

"Don't call me a villain, that's so bourgeois." I, Declan, am not a villain. It's so bourgeois. Like, what makes a villain? The costume? The laugh? The moustache? Well, I don't have any of those, at least, not the moustache. I am what you can call an 'Anti'. No, not the anti-hero, it's still got the word hero. Why's everything got to be so black and white? For example, the media seems to believe that if you're the one going against the person who likes to rescue cats from trees, you spend every waking moment only doing that; plotting their demise. Well, newsflash, I'm actually a human being! I have obligations! I do my own laundry, my own shopping, my own cooking! We don't all have little henchman, idiots. So, as a way to prove the media imbeciles wrong, you get to follow my exploits in the modern world. But don't worry, there's more destruction than you might think. epic cover was made by @hestians

[EXCERPT - FIRST 5 CHAPTERS] THE FULL BOOK IS AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE IN STORES AND ONLINE! Never trust a guy in spandex. In Abby Hamilton's world, superheroes do more than just stop crime and save cats stuck in trees - they also drink milk straight from the carton and hog the television remote. Abby's older brother moonlights as the famous Red Comet, but without powers of her own, following in his footsteps has never crossed her mind. That is, until the city's newest vigilante comes bursting into her life. After saving Abby from an attempted mugging, Morriston's fledgling supervillain Iron Phantom convinces her that he's not as evil as everyone says - and that their city is under a vicious new threat. As Abby follows him deeper into their city's darkest secrets, she comes to learn that heroes can't always be trusted, and sometimes it's the good guys who wear black.
