**PUBLISHED!** Two strangers whose paths should never have crossed. One traumatic encounter that brings them together. After high school senior Silas Brigs is rescued from an attempted assault, he finds himself indebted to a blond stranger. But he wants nothing to do with the calm, quiet Ben Adams. The California diver reminds Silas too much of what brought them together in the first place, an event he just wants to forget. Yet no matter how hard Silas tries to distance himself, the closer the two inevitably gravitate. With Silas's attacker lurking in the shadows combined with Ben's mysterious history, their blossoming friendship seems doomed to failure. Both are haunted by their shattered pasts, but can they learn to face their demons together? Because, no matter how much Silas wants to resist, they're exactly what the other needs. Even if they don't know it, yet. books2read.com/far-from-ruined-01

**WINNER of 3 awards in 2016 and 2017** [[+18]] ** this book is on hold for now, but I haven't abandoned it. I'll do my best to get back and finish it, and many thanks for the amazing support from Aella fans <3 ** Aella is an island far away in the sea, with a few smaller islands around it. It is said that only the wind reaches it and ships rarely sail that far as it is mostly secluded from other lands. The Aellos is a tribe of several clans of hunters and warriors that existed for centuries on that island. Over the years, and mostly due to the harsh weather, the number of women have dropped drastically leading to fights and wars between the different clans of the tribe. Tired of being both subjects of dispute and objects of treaties, the proud women, referred to as Aellas, declared their own clan and secluded themselves in their own territory. Now there are only two clans: the Aellas, living in the north part of the island and above a very high cliff, and the Aellos, which is the clan of men living in the forests and small mountains on the rest of the island. All the laws of the tribe are now set for one purpose only: protecting the women and the survival of the tribe. To that reason, both clans meet once a year for what they call: Agape, the season of love, where a male from the Aellos and a woman from the Aellas choose each other to live together and enjoy each other's company for a month. Ceri, a 17 years old, is the only man living with the Aella clan. He was born and raised there, never once stepping foot beyond the limit of their territory... until the day he met the gorgeous Ithel. This is a romantic love story between the innocent Ceri and the lonely hunter, Ithel. [Disclaimer: Contains adult themes and graphic content + abuse and ra pe to be expected + manxman]

Ariana Miller has never been described as one of those cliche 'normal girls'. Her favorite place to be is in an abandoned lot in the back of a rusty car shop where she spends most of her days in with her dog, Percy. So when her parents tell her that they have to leave her home in New York City to go to Los Angeles, she doesn't take it well. She never wanted to move or change or do anything new with her life. She just wanted to spend every day in her favorite place and write, read or play her music. When she arrives at Los Angeles and meets Brandon Davis - her next door neighbor - at the beach, she immediately dislikes him. But he seems to do anything he can to break Ariana's walls down. Being set on being alone and having a place of her own, Ariana's mission is to find a secret place that only she knows, just like in New York. But a lot more things get in the way of that than Ariana thought. Together with Brandon Davis, they seem to be able to handle anything. But they slowly uncover a secret that none of them were expecting. It wasn't a dark secret that would change the fate of humanity, it was just a secret. A secret that both of them never expected they'd come across. But then again, it's more than just a secret. It's the one thing that brought two individuals together into perfect harmony. * 4 Sample Chapters * When an eccentric old neighbour dies and names Violet March in his will, she is even more surprised than his estranged and spoiled family. To make matters stranger, she learns that all must attend a pretend murder-mystery weekend for any to claim a share of the inheritance. Being a good sport under constant scrutiny and suspicion becomes trickier when she finds herself torn between the romantic attentions of both the deceased's "favourite" grand-nephew and the charming black sheep of the family. Loyalty forces her to favour the former, but when it is the latter who inherits the bulk of the estate, a grave case of mistaken identities is revealed leaving Violet to determine whether pride and an unwillingness to be labelled a gold-digger may stand in the way of the love of a lifetime. *Cover from "Lake Louise, An Alpine Wonderland" by Norman Fraser, which is to the best of my research and knowledge in the Public Domain. *No part of this book may be reproduced or used in any manner without the express written permission of the author.

[Highest Rank: #38] She's boring. They're spoiled. A playboy, a jerk, and a prodigy enter her life, and she becomes entangled in a new game of something that she has 0 experience with: romance. ~ It's the middle of senior year, and Jennie is more than enthusiastic to finally be done with preparing for college. Her perfect transcript, teacher recommendation, and resume have been sent in the form of applications, and now she's just awaiting a stress-free life for the remainder of her time at Millennium High, her private boarding school. Of course, life doesn't play out the way one expects it to, and it definitely throws a curveball towards Jennie. Her work hard, study hard routine is threatened by the arrival of a trio of rich, successful boys ... and, unlike the rest of the school, she's just not seeing the excitement. All she wanted to do was spend the remainder of the year focusing on graduating as the valedictorian of the school -- which was inevitable in the first place -- but these boys seem to have something sorely against her success. Juggling a newfound social reputation on her shoulders, along with many other problems that she and the newcomers face, Jennie attempts to continue on with her life as a simple, intelligent girl. It just gets annoying when she has to deal with something that she's never experienced before within her boring life -- love. How better to describe romance than with cheesiness and cliches, right? Well, Jennie's never been a fan of those things. NOTE: 'Tis a rather casually-written story so don't expect anything TOO deep here. Of course, you may be surprised. *insert mischievous grin here. Also, if you don't like romantic things ... might want to leave (but who doesn't, honestly?)
