Karkat Vantas is confused. The voice relentlessly invades his dreams each and every night. And day. He is having the same dream over and over, and the dream consists of a single voice whose owner remains shrouded in mystery. Karkat is constantly falling asleep, in his classroom, on the bus, in the park... This has been going on for months on end. It's puzzling, to say the least. The words spoken by the voice are always the same. Dave Strider is on the run. He's probably going to die, he knows that. He's well aware of the risks, but somehow, he doesn't care. This is worth it. It's all completely, one hundred percent worth it. He just needs to manage to evade capture for a short while longer.... which could prove to be quite the challenge. The only thing keeping him hidden from his pursuers is his sister Rose's magic, but she can't keep it up for much longer. The spell is sapping her remaining energy like a vortex. But the two of them will stop at nothing. They have to break the curse.

Dave Strider. The coolest miner yet. Was second in line to his Bro, but he's not anymore. For now, the miner decided to take a short cut through a cave than going over. Then finding a monster along the way, no ordinary monster that's for sure. Possibly a new friend?
