Her parents, due to the laws of her village, reluctantly let her go. The village could never restrain someone from doing what they wanted, so Ikkyou left. She wanted to explore more. Since she already had nothing restraining her from leaving she left at an early age. This surprised everyone. Ever since Ikkyou was born she was very surprising, thus, having her mother name her Ikkyou, meaning 'surprise'. When her mom held her in her arms, Ikkyou did the unthinkable. She giggled. When she did, her hair changed color from a silvery white to a bright yellow. With a smile, her mother named her Ikkyou. When her father heard the name his wife had chosen he laughed saying it was the perfect name. Ikkyou is now 8 years old and travelling near the Land of Fire.
