Elsewhere, the government searches for Optimus Prime, having formed a dark alliance with the deadly Lockdown. But he has an agenda of his own, and this time, everything is different. This is part three of Ruby's story, based loosely on Michael Bay's Age of Extinction. Cherry and Atticus are two kids on vacation to explore their destinies and wanted futures to become a cartoonist and detective. They run into a lonely private detective named Eddie Valiant who appears to hate toons, which leaves the kids wondering why and they get involved in a crime case involving one of Cherry's most favorite, beloved cartoon characters, Roger Rabbit.

The Monsters have left the underground to live in the overworld, but it may not have been what they expected. From normal issues in the real world to humans who are racist against monsters.
