Abyss Welch is a seventeen year old girl that lives is a different time and place, a world that's not like ours. she lives in a little village called Lungs where the houses are made from mostly wood and the bones if their ancestors. Abyss' family is an outcast, her brother obsessively builds coffins, her father was taken by the evil witch that lives in the forbidden woods and she talks to Canaries. Abyss has a lover that's from the evil woods that she must keep secret. The farther she ventures into the forest the more she learns about the witch she has been taught to fear, and about the real world around her. The story is based on the beautiful music by Florence and the machine, when you read you will fall deep into the abyss.

Isabella Summers and Florence Welch have know each other for over ten years. And as the How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful, tout is coming to a close so is there friendship. Isa now lives in California to work with Ivan Ink. While Flo still resides in South London with her family and the rest of the band.
