TRIGGER WARNING!!! Contains depression, abuse, drugs, anxiety, panic and suicide *The story is always in Dan's POV unless said otherwise* My life didn't go how I wanted it to. At the age of 16 you would think I'd be in a relationship, hang out with friends and come home to a nice home cooked meal on the table. You know, what most teenagers do. But no, instead I go home every night to the horror that is my mum. I don't ask for anything except for death to take me, for I'm too cowardly to end my own life. But whenever I'm in a situation that could kill me, something always gets me out of it safely. I never thought that one day I would be meeting what this 'something' was.

broken; 1. having been fractured or damaged and no longer in one piece or in working order 2. (of a person) having given up all hope; despairing Broken. That's the only word Phil Lester can describe himself. He's fractured, damaged, and has given up all hope on himself. It's not his fault he is so hurt, so alone, and so far gone. All he wants is to make friends, feel loved, live a normal life, and too be happy. Unfortunately no matter where he goes or who he encounters, there is always someone there breaking him down and pushing him further down a dark hole he can't seem to escape from. He is at his breaking point and doesn't know how much longer he can hold on for. Will anyone ever notice the pain he suffers and finally decide to help him or will he always be on his own? When someone does notice, will it be too late to save him from the demons that have already imprinted a huge heart aching mark on his fragile and broken mind? ✖️Warning✖️ This story includes self harming, thoughts of suicide, suicide sttempt, mature language, boyxboy, bullying, abuse, and other things that might not be suitable for a younger audience!

This is the sequel to my book 'Take Me To Church', you don't have to read that one first, I'm not gonna force you, but it will help you understand this book a lot more. TMTC is also an older work of mine so it will not be anywhere near as polished as this one is, but either way, i hope you enjoy it! - It's been two years since the incident at Dan's house went down, life seems to be getting back on track for the once-church boy, Phil. However, some things left in the past, are not always permanently left.

A boy raised around religion and the discounts for sin, Phil Lester is definitely not one to go around looking for trouble. With his father being the vicar of their local church, Phil has a lot to live up to and has to keep his reputation high if he's to be accepted. He doesn't do parties or drinking; the thought of sex alone is enough to terrify him. So it's no wonder that when Dan Howell, a boy who embraces the life of parties and rebellious acts, shows up to join the church program, Phil starts having trouble keeping himself sane as he tries to teach Dan the path to God. But, religion isn't the thing on Dans mind and he seems to find himself a new toy to play with. [warning: this does contain violence and mature content (as shown) and there's a lot on the topic of homosexuality and negative views towards it from characters in the story. Please read on with care <3]
