A new team, the Criminal Investigative Unit (CIU), is entrusted with a newly developed device called the VsFB, a device that can seemingly repeat the dead's last thoughts and words. With this new device, the team sets out to track down and capture high profile criminals before those said criminals have the opportunity to cause further harm. However, as everyone soon realizes, the cases aren't nearly as simple as they appear to be.
