The journal that was left behind by the father of Zachary Taylor stated that "The Gates of Haven are not a myth". Now an adult, his mother cannot stop him from going to Toronto to search for his father. Like Alice down the rabbit hole, Zach is thrown into a world filled with mystery and danger and is turned upside down by an unexpected love interest. The true test of his humanity is questioned as Zach must ask himself if he is willing to sacrifice everything that he holds true in order to choose between his father and this new life that he has been ensnared by.
