[Lone Ranger sequel] Corie Blake was having the time of her life. For the first time in many years, she was not in Eichen House. She was living with the boy she'd been seeing all her life, and her best friend was right alongside of her, ready to take on high school with her. They had multiple pranks up their sleeve, and there was no Brunski to stop them. Corie thought life was pretty great, especially because she'd been reintroduced to the love of her life life, ice cream. She allowed herself to think she was safe. The assassins really threw that feeling down the drain. Now more than ever, Corie needs to master her seeing gift. It's the key to stopping so many deaths from happening. However, when she needs it most, it fails her. The glimpses she gets are never enough to know exactly when or where the assassins will hit next, or even who they're going after. She only has an impending feeling that someone's going to die, which doesn't really help, since everyone is always on the verge of dying in this supernatural mess. To sum it up, Corie Blake is not having the time of her life. The only help she has to understand her gift better is Lydia, but even she can only do so much, especially since Corie is as mysterious as ever and refuses to talk about her past. Corie Blake was dropped off at Eichen House at the mere age of ten with nothing but her favorite stuffed animal and a letter about what was wrong with her. Her parents had given up on her long before that, but they had finally developed the courage to get rid of their daughter for good. However, Corie wasn't surprised by their plans, she was already waiting by the car ready to go when they came to tell her they were going for a ride. She knew of their real plans. Seven years later, Corie has become a lone ranger at the Eichen House, never really making friends in the insane asylum. She never truly believed that she belonged there, but she could understand why people believed she did. Claiming to know everything about someone up to the point of when they will die, is enough to send her to the nut house. Knowing that she will probably never leave, Corie has fun the only way she can, by messing with the other patients with her knowledge of them. When the new boy, Stiles Stilinski, arrives, Corie can't help but ruffle the boy's feathers, enjoying seeing him become all flustered when she begins to speak about all of his secrets. Corie begins to realize that Stiles might just be her way of getting out of Eichen House and won't stop until it happens.
