The end of the world should never have been so fun. The plague wasn't fun, of course, but once the dust settled and the wealthy barricaded themselves away in safer cities, the kids left behind were left with no laws, no structure, and no limits. In their new wild west, there's only one rule: survive. Daisy stole a motorcycle and dreams of riding to Vermont. Her best friend Sebastian wants to steal his dad's gun and plant a garden in the woods. Hayden dreams of escaping his cousin's violent control over the town's clean water. Benji just wants to go down swinging. Welcome to Saturn County, Michigan. Drinking age is 21 months. (Technically a prequel/new first draft of The Grove.) Cover by @marvelity

Fame. Glory. Adventure. Welcome to Quest World. Amelie Saeowyn is a barmaid at The Dizzy Ogre, so named because the hills behind the tavern attract vicious ogres at a dizzying rate. This keeps the tavern full of would-be adventurers looking to get their feet wet in the wide, wonderful world of monster-slaying and quest-completing. But for Amelie, this just means a never-ending stream of too-big-for-their-britches armed noobs who drink a lot of mead and never leave tips. Unlike everyone else at The Dizzy Ogre, Amelie doesn't want to be an adventurer. She does, however, want to see what's beyond her village, but the owner of the tavern (who also happens to be her money-grubbing uncle) isn't about to let his best source of free labor saunter off into the night. Amelie has "family debts to pay," i.e. her uncle's still sore that his good-for-nothing sister dropped her on his doorstep as a babe. But Amelie's been sneaking money here and there, and she almost has enough to buy passage out of her village and leave this tavern in her dust. Until, one night, two very different strangers come into The Dizzy Ogre. What she chooses to do next could rewrite her fate -- or seal it.

*A Wattpad Editor's Choice* Freddie kissed him again. He groaned and pressed into it. Deepened it immediately, kissing her so hard, she thought he might draw blood. She liked it. But then he was pulling away. Backing away three steps, and freezing, miserable air rushed between them. "You're dangerous." He ran a hand through his hair. A tiny frown knit his brow. "So, so dangerous, Freddie Gellar." -- From New York Times bestselling author Susan Dennard comes a story packed with steamy romance, epic best friendship, and a dark mystery that dates back centuries. The Executioners Three is Stranger Things meets the legend of Sleepy Hollow in 1999 on the shores of Lake Michigan. After high school senior Freddie Gellar finds a body in the woods, she sets out to prove it wasn't a suicide like the sheriff ruled. But then more bodies start piling up -- and if that's not creepy enough, supernatural warning signs from the old poem "The Executioners Three" start unfolding too. To complicate things even more, Freddie gets roped into a rivalry between her high school and the local prep school. For twenty years, the two student bodies have pranked each other, and the enmity between them is vicious. Except that over the course of all these back-and-forth pranks, Freddie finds herself falling for the #1 enemy of them all: Theo Porter. New chapters every Wednesday and Friday!
