Madisyn has tried to kill herself. She refuses any of the help offered to her. She can't look at herself in the mirror. She can't go to school without her blade. She can't even raise her hand in class without being terrorized by the rest of the class. If that's not bad enough, she has to come home to her drunken stepdad who hits her any chance he gets.
