Still somewhat interested in July's character, Sam continues to pay attention to her, but accidentally makes the shocking discovery that July self harms at home. Now caught in a web of worry, for July's well being and his friend group's view of him, Sam tries to find a way to help July, while struggling to keep in a good light with his friends and the rest of the school.
